It’s may be the autumn that you start to think about foraging but the spring is when the adventure really begins. Spring for most is a joyous time of year, the cold dark days melt away and it’s as if they had never been around. The seemingly impossible starts to happen and from once bare soil a myriad of plants suddenly appear.

Let me be your guide through these salad days together we’ll find innovative ways to wow at your next dinner party, transform a picnic in the park to a wild food feast, top up that medicine cabinet or perhaps you just fancy a terrific day out with a lovely bunch of like minded people?

About Andy Hamilton – Your course leader

Andy has been experimenting with wild food since the age of 8 when he wandered down to the bottom of his garden in search of nettles for nettle soup. Since then he has written two books (Selfsufficientish Bible and Booze for Free) and contributed to many more, appeared on various TV programs including BBC Autumnwatch, BBC Countryfile and the Alan Titchmarsh show. He’s led walks around the Eden project, consulted as a survival expert for TV, lived off a diet of wild food for two weeks, brewed almost anything that grows into some sort of booze, told Simon Mayo and 5 millions others how to make elderflower champagne, written for the Guardian and nursed many hangovers with wild plants.
