I’ve spoken and held workshops at an unusually varied range of events over the last decade. From giving talks to rooms full of drunken Women’s institute members or equally as drunk pagans to guest lecturing at universities, giving food demo’s at food festivals and talking at literature festivals.
I’m no stranger to TV and radio either, having amongst countless other appearances, had a Radio Four Food program almost dedicated to my wild drinks, I’ve brewed with Alan Titchmarsh and been praised for my wine by Gilly Goolden, waxed lyrical about elderflower champagne with Simon Mayo, broken the Autumnwatch teams mouths with toffee apples and I’ve even been dragged in to do some TV consultancy work.
Wild food and drink Consultancy
Increasingly I’m finding that cafes, restaurants and bars are looking to engage with the wild world around them as inspiration for their menus and cocktails. I’m always happy to help find a sustainable way to use the ingredients locally available to them. This helps them to offer something truly unique for their establishment that “roots” their dishes or drinks to the local area and season. Contact me for rates and more information.
On a more practical level I have held workshops in wild brewing, foraging and sustainable living. I have also held various author/writing workshops specializing including using social media and writing fiction and non fiction and the path to getting published.
I tend not to talk or hold workshops at music festivals, sorry I’m just an old fart like that. However, if you wish to get in contact to ask me about attending your event then please do get in touch. I do offer reduced rates for some charities but as a lot of my time is taken up with the Bristol Homestart charity I am forced to be selective. Contact me for rates and more information.
